IMPACTS IN TALENT ATTRACTION & ACQUISITION

Designed full talent branding package including employee value proposition, website copy, social media posting library, and career fair plan.  Significant increase in candidate flow for hard to fill specialized roles.


Regularly managed programs of over 800 hires a year (including in technology, finance, marketing, senior executive, high volume). History meeting or exceeding the resource target every year.


Designed innovative intern program focused on culture assimilation and talent pipelining, leading to a top 5 ranking by Vault.com with a year-over-year conversion rate to full-time offer acceptances of over 85%. 


Created and led multi-state college relations and recruiting program, including branding the company on campus, training managers to support the process, and pipelining candidates 12-18 months in advance of hiring needs. Highlighted as a best practice by a national professional association. 


Reorganized talent acquisition functions by role and funnel positioning (researcher, sourcer, screener, program manager, recruiter) plus AI where appropriate, to streamline workflow, lower sourcing costs, increase efficiencies, and reduce time to fill – all while improving the candidate experience.

 

Organized community networking approach to sourcing and recruiting, building strong partnerships with local workforce centers, military bases, meetup and affinity groups to refer candidates to key openings and candidate profiles, shortening overall time to fill and reducing costs on searches. Highlighted as a case study in best practices by a major research organization.

IMPACTS IN LEARNING & GROWTH

Architected progressive onboarding program delivered weekly concurrently across ten nationwide locations, to assimilate new hires quickly into the culture and the company story. Highlighted as best in class at a national engagement summit.


Designed career path and job leveling guide for new retail concept including defining competencies, roles and levels, compensation planning and other rewards, to ensure that new candidate experience was reflected in the employee design.


Built Strengths-based internal coaching and teambuilding facilitation bench of 300 people. Designed process to select, train, resource, and regularly engage these volunteers to increase individual and organizational performance.


Facilitated talent mobility and succession planning conversations with senior executive leadership team, identifying critical talent in order to accelerate their readiness, retention, and engagement.


Designed experiential learning curriculum to quickly engage new managers into their roles as leaders.


Created multi-month leadership development program to accelerate the readiness of high-potential leaders. Blended learning approach including mentorships and action learning projects. Results included 20% promotion rate by program end.


Curated internally created and vendor provided learning opportunities into menus and pathways for the entire employee population, tied to behavioral competencies.

IMPACTS IN CULTURE & ENGAGEMENT

 Codified company culture into a defined set of beliefs and behaviors, achieved through synthesis of employee focus groups, executive feedback, and best practice research. Embedded the framework into talent practices, including talent review, onboarding, recruiting, succession planning, and employee communication platforms. 


Created a culture champion network to operationalize culture beyond HR. Selected key influencers across the company to lead the effort locally. 


Orchestrated engagement survey strategy and action planning approach including vendor selection, stakeholder partnership, communication plan, and executive dashboard reporting. Exceptionally high employee response rate of 93%.


Introduced progressive engagement approach centered on assessing culture feedback and hearing the employee voice, to gauge and respond to sentiment.


Designed, produced and hosted CEO’s bi-annual retreats/summits for company’s top 50 leaders to align senior team on strategic priorities, financial outlook, and culture integration. Selected venue, developed event theme and narrative, sourced and prepped external speakers, and designed overall event structure.

Using proprietary scorecards, assessed maturity of HR function and capabilities of team, resulting in full change-over of team and up-skilling of function


Restructured Talent team to be fully integrated across functions, leading to high engagement scores and increased development opportunities for staff; created team vision, established protocols and traditions


Transformed the operating model of HR team to be more agile and scale growth relative to organizational needs 


Established HR team annual priorities, goals, and focus areas for presentation to the CEO and board, linking to macro organizational objectives


Completed a new leader assimilation for a new-to-role head of HR, facilitating discussion with HR team about leader's style and approach to accelerate outcomes


Facilitated discussion with HR team about evolving role of HR and their place in that change, leading to new mindset and strategic approach


Advised CEO on creation of new Chief People Officer role, on candidate selection, and on the initial onboarding plan; came alongside and helped the new CPO for their first 90 days to ensure success
